San Jacinto College Central enjoys performance from Houston Symphony Bass Quartet
Audience members were captivated by renditions of Beatles tunes, jazz and modern contemporary music from performers (left to right) Eric Larson, Donald Howey, Burke Shaw and Mark Shapiro. The quartet also played classical pieces to showcase the rich sounds of two of the bass instruments that date back to the 1700s.
The concert was free to students, courtesy of a partnership between the College and the Houston Symphony this year to provide SJC with the finest symphonic music Houston has to offer.
