We take campus safety very seriously. Our campus police department is staffed with academy-trained police officers who are on duty and available 24 hours a day.

Absolutely. We have a staff of highly experienced advisors who provide guidance to every student – not just when they come to San Jac, but every semester. We also have a Career Center that offers career assessment tests.

We have all kinds of campus services that make life easier for our students. These include restaurants, post offices, childcare centers, copy centers, a golf course, even a spa & salon.

We offer all kinds – for free. We have Student Success centers that provide peer tutoring. We have math and writing support centers, and much more. Any student that needs or wants help will get it.

How do students find out about their grades?
It’s very convenient and easy. We have a secure online system known as SOS where final grades are posted. We also have a system called Blackboard where instructors connect with their students. Some instructors post ongoing grades there.

San Jac is a state institution supported by tax dollars. This allows us to keep tuition and fees very low for our students. Plus we offer all forms of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and campus jobs. There’s even an installment payment plan.

Where can a student look for a job on campus?
On-campus jobs are actually a form of financial aid and are part of the Federal Work-Study and Texas Work-Study programs. This is a good thing. It ensures that students will only work part time, so they can handle their studies. Job openings are posted at our Career Centers.
